The town Asolo is located in a scenic environment between Bassano del Grappa and the well-known Prosecco Doc hills. The town center lies at the foot of the mountain and is animated by a large square surrounded by ancient craft shops and taverns. It is called ‘the city of a hundred horizons’ and has one of the most charming old towns in Italy. In its collection of ancient walls branching off from the so-called 'Rocca', a 12th century fortress, every corner preserves evidence of the town's millennial history. The Mount Grappa is an historical mountain, which played an important role during the first and secondWorld War. Even today there are still the signs with trails and trenches and with the imposing War Memorial, in memory of allsoldiers who gave their lives for freedom! It is located south of the Dolomites, between the provinces of Belluno, Vicenza andTreviso and is a paradise for all sports.

During the stop with the Transalp, you can combine your love of culture with great dining pleasure. In the inns, restaurants, cafés and wine bars overlooking the typical arcades and squares, the flavors of traditional cheeses, honey andsalami cold cuts await you. In the nearby hilly area of Pedemontana you can taste the Olive Oil, the traditional Grappa spirit and of course the famous Prosecco Superiore DOCG, an excellent wine for which this region is famous. Do not hesitate and get on your bike to discover the Prosecco Hills and the Mount Grappa!
