Aprica is in Valtellina, 1180 metres above sea level, on a plateau between the provinces of Sondrio and Brescia, not far from Milan and Bergamo airports. In summer you can enjoy more than 200 km of marked woodland paths and natural areas subject to environmental protection: The Alpine Natural Wildlife Sanctuary within the Orobien Alps Park of Valtellina, the Nature Reserves of Pian di Gembro, of Valli di S. Antonio and of Val Belviso. These are ideal places for a holiday in full contact with nature, where you can take the pleasure to admire local flora and fauna with the guidance of experts, describing their characteristics and introducing you to their secrets.
Aprica is mainly a renowned winter resort: with more than 50 km of downhill slopes, equipped with snow-making facilities, the skiing area made of Magnolta, Palabione and Baradello from 2300 m descend to town where the “Campetti” for beginners are. Cross-country skiing, snowshoes, ski-mountaineering, ice climbing, ice skating and swimming are some of the many possibilities to play sport or simply relax in the magic of the nature. In the old parts of the town you can be amazed by the wall paintings on wildlife and traditions.
