12.03.2019 - 12:07

These riders are not just cycling for their own success:

Team Plasmatreat is riding the TOUR Transalp, to gather funds for ill childreen and teens. This year they are supporting a specialized outpatient palliative care for children and youth at the children’s centre Bethel in Bielefeld (Germany).

At the TOUR Transalp 2017 Team Plasmatreat has been collecting donations for the DKMS for the first time. Because of the positive feedback, the team grew constantly over the next years, says team manager David Buske. In 2017 they startet with just two riders, in 2018  there have already been three teams.

At this year’s TOUR Transalp Team Plasmatreat is even starting with five teams: Because the main sponsor Plasmatreat is based in Steinhagen (NRW), there will be a company team - Lukas Buske (30) und Peter Spieth (32) – and two more teams from the region of East Westphalia: Michael Schenk (52)  from Lemgo und Heiko Schröder (49) from Bielefeld will face the challenge of the alpine stage race. Also Jannik Tautz (21) from Bad Salzuflen and Nils Petermann (34) from Harsewinkel will make an effort for the good cause. Furthermore  Anna Entleitner (26) and Carina Rudigier (27) from Austria will ride the race for charity.

The trikots of the team will display 35 colourful butterflies, painted by the children of the children’s center Bethel. It is the symbol of the charity-partner, who is committed to accompany afflicted  children and teens and their parents on their hard way.

„We are doing it for a good cause and it is a big pleasure for us“, says David Buske. „It is great to see, how the team has grown closer together.“ Even friendships have developed from this common engagement.

Team Plasmatreat was established in 2014. The participants have been contesting several sportive competitions like the „Wings-for-life-run“ in Munich. Besides the running contests they discovered their passion for road cycling – and have stayed with it.
